PeopleTools 8.5 Voucher Communication
|
Subject: Important - Voucher Page Changes
On February 26, 2011 an upgrade to PeopleTools was released to our production PeopleSoft environment. During the testing of this upgrade, it was determined that the Faculty/Staff Voucher and Hourly Voucher pages were loading too slowly. These pages were modified to speed their opening by limiting the number of rows being displayed to 10 instead of loading all the voucher rows.
You will notice the following differences on the payroll vouchers:
- There is a new scroll option that is located at the top right and bottom right of the displayed voucher rows that allows you to scroll through the voucher in 10 row increments. You can click the left or right arrows to display the previous or next 10 voucher rows. You can also click the First or Last links to jump to the beginning or end of the voucher.

- You will notice “white space” after the last displayed row anytime less than 10 rows are contained on the page. You must scroll past this “white space” to get to the navigation buttons located at the bottom of the page.
- A new “Save” button has been placed directly above the new scroll option at the top of the page. This was done to help eliminate the need to always scroll to the end of the page in order to save your changes.
- Pages have a slightly different look due to a style change delivered in this upgrade. You will notice that “Buttons” have a new default grey or light blue color instead of “Yellow” buttons. We have requested that a few pages be modified to retain some key “Yellow” buttons. The Find, Save, Approve, Unapprove, Approve All, and Unapprove All buttons will remain yellow on the Faculty/Staff and Hourly Voucher pages.
- The remaining functionality (e.g., Find and Sort by features) should be unchanged.
The Firefox browser appears to be more responsive (faster) than the Internet Explorer (I.E.) browser. If you currently use I.E., you might want to try using Firefox to see if it performs better on your workstation.
